A creative director, based in London, who I used to work for forwarded me an e-blast today containing windows, one each from Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Swarovski and Harrods, and Liberty. The eblast was sent by Imagine Fashion (website here). At first, I was under the impression that they were the ones who created the windows, but after spending a bit of time rummaging around their website, my guess is that they didn’t. Very confusing. Their main focus seems to be -fashion film- . If anyone has information on these guys, I would love to hear it. They don’t have a wikipedia page, my be-all-end-all number-1 go-to spot for research.

2011 Holiday Windows
by UXUS for Banana Republic
UXUS was invited by Banana Republic to create the 2011 holiday window scheme for their flagship stores in Milan, Paris and London. The concept is a bold, contemporary take on traditional Christmas ornament motifs, showcasing Banana Republic’s sophisticated signature holiday looks. UXUS’s solution resulted in a lighthearted Op Art interpretation of a classic Christmas ornament theme.

Christmas baubles are enlarged and presented in a kaleidoscope of optical dot and stripe patterns creating an illusionary dimensional trompe l’oeil effect. In-store, the baubles are piled high on shelves with graphic backdrops completing the holiday campaign. Combined, these elements present an unforgettable modern take on the traditional Christmas holiday theme.

The UXUS Banana Republic 2011 Holiday window and in-store presentation will fully be revealed on December 7th, 2011.

Okay kids. This is the last of the London series shot by Ebru. But no fear. She’s off on her jet setting ways to Spain. She’s promised to shoot windows there and hopefully in a month or so, I’ll begin posting them here.

In the meantime, New York windows will have to suffice. (but then, when you think about it, they are the best anyway). Right?

My good friend and occasional contributor, Ebru “Turkish Delite” Pinar, just returned from London (she’s quite the jet setter) with quite a few photographs of window displays. I’ll be posting those over the next week in sets of 12 or so. My favourite one in this batch is the 3 Ladies Painting.
