About

Hi.
I started this blog when I moved here and began working across the street from Bergdorf Goodman. I had been attracted to windows when I lived in San Francisco but BG took it to a whole other level. Realizing that I was doting on these windows, I realized that these windows were a great source of inspiration. So, I wanted to put them out there for others to view.

Work-wise, I am an Art Director at SelectNY, an advertising agency here in NY. Before that I was at Estée Lauder. I also teach at Pratt Institute. I moved here from San Francisco.

Let me know if you enjoy this blog. And feel free to ask questions or submit suggestions.

(geek stuff to follow)

I began shooting in grade school with an old Argus twin-lens reflex that my mom made my dad buy me (thanks mom!) and I’ve been shooting ever since. Currently, I’m shooting with a Nikon D700 which recently replaced my D300 and a D70S before that. I also have a Nikon FA and a Mamiya 645. Both are great cameras but I simply don’t have the luxury to continue in film even though I love it more.

Up until a few years ago, I was still shooting Ilford FP4, developing with Rodinal, and printing to Oriental Seagull G3. It wasn’t until the Epson R2400 came out that I finally felt that a digital workflow was rivaling analog black & white. That’s pretty much when I severed the darkroom ties. Now I’m printing on a 2880 and the quality is just simply amazing!

ps I found the above image at panzano.es but I don’t know who to credit for it. I’ve written them and asked but have gotten no response. if you know, please let me know. I’d really like to credit them.

    Thanks Cameron.
I was actually in Sydney a while back (my Aunt lives there) and have quite a few Aussie windows posted on the site as a result. (You can find them through the categories list.)
I will check out your site and feel free to submit photos of any windows you currently have up. Cheers.
