Thai Restaurant Window
Manhattan, New York;
March 4, 2010

I passed by this Thai restaurant in Greenwich Village. Sorry, I don’t remember the name. I thought, though, that it was an interesting shot. You know… people looking out of windows, windows reflecting in windows, people looking away from windows. Windows kind of stuff, you know?

IAC Building
Manhattan, New York;
January 27, 2010

This isn’t exactly window displays but it is a lot of windows.

Having been an architect student, I love architecture (which is why I was an architect student – DUH!). This is the IAC building along the West Side Highway (which, officially, is the Joe DiMaggio Highway though I’ve never ever heard it called that). It was designed by Frank Gehry and I believe completed in 2007. I shot these last October and just now getting around to posting them.

One thing though is that it reminds me a lot of the San Francisco prison building on Folsom (your best view is from 80, or “the 80″ as those lower developed SoCal people say). But the IAC building is much better.

I really enjoy this building at night. I like the type treatment, and all of the plants on the 3rd floor really create a great aesthetic. The building becomes an actual installation piece.
