A few new windows along 5th Avenue along with a new shot of the Rombola window. Several frames had fallen down in the original shot that I had posted. This new shot reflects the fix. Personally, though, I liked the first shot better. The missing frames created a nice asymmetry.

Oops. A taxi jumped the curbed last Wednesday night and smashed into the corner window on 57th Street. Luckily no one was hurt and none of the props were damaged. The window will be closed, obviously, while repairs are made.

New windows along 5th Avenue. Lots of mannequin heads along with photographs by Rebecca Martinez as part of her “Beauty Challenged” series (provided by the Jayne H Baum Gallery). SF Gate (my old home town) ran an article on her last year here.

Check out window 12. It is my favourite. There is a nice interaction between the photograph and the merchandise. See if you can see it.

New windows along 5th Avenue. The theme is “Box” (“Suggestion “, “Soap “, “Pandora’s “, and “Jack-In-The-”). Check out the giraffe mailing his suggestion. And there is the gnome from, what was it? Orbitz? Finishing up the bunch is Michael Kors 2010.

Lots of great new windows at Bergdorf celebrating the opening of the “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity” show by The Costume Institute. The show is running at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 5 through August 15, 2010.

These are definitely some of the best windows that I have seen in quite a while. And that is not to say that other windows have been bad. Quite the contrary. These are just really, really great. Try to see them in person. The intricacy of the paper work is quite amazing.
