Bergdorf Goodman Windows, August 2010
5th Avenue

Bergdorf Goodman Window Displays
Manhattan, New York;

A few new windows along 5th Avenue along with a new shot of the Rombola window. Several frames had fallen down in the original shot that I had posted. This new shot reflects the fix. Personally, though, I liked the first shot better. The missing frames created a nice asymmetry.

My First Window

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

I was going through my archives and stumbled across this… my first window.

When I lost my window virginity.

I shot this back in 1995, in San Francisco, at Macy’s. With a Hassie, FP4, Rodinal, Oriental Seagull 3. Back when photography was much more of a hand-crafted art. I miss those days.

Oh well… on to digital… (and honestly, I could not do this site if I were shooting film).

These have been up for a while. I forgot to post them. Sorry about that. There is no third window in this series due to it being crashed into by a taxi cab. (see earlier post)

I love the second photo. The mannequin totally reminds me of Sean Young in Blade Runner. Total babe. Remember the Seinfeld episode that had an Elaine mannequin?

Dior on 57th St is renovating. Normally, shops build a temporary, generic looking, wooden planked front. Dior constructed a big purse. Nicely different.
