Rubik’s Revolution
I saw this on the train this morning. It an electronic version of Rubik’s Cube called Rubik’s Revolution. But rather than using brain power and strategy to solve the puzzle so that each side has their own color, you simply follow the blinking light that travels throughout the center square on each side. Basically, it’s a knockoff of Rock Star, or going much further back, Simon or Merlin.
And since I’m on the subject of Rubik’s Cube, I love this ad for the Sony PlayStation 3.

Bergdorf Goodman Windows / North,
Manhattan, New York;

Archive of past window displays.
3 of the 4 northern windows have been swapped out. This chalkboard theme is also being used across the street for the mens’ windows (along with the “old photos“” theme that was used a couple of months ago for the women’s windows).

Bergdorf Goodman Windows / South,

Archive of past window displays.
Bergdorf has been renovating inside of their store for quite some time. The southern windows have been “shuttered” up and decals have been put on them. I’m assuming that this set of windows is going to be shut down for a while as renovations continue. So, it looks like we’ll only have the northern and eastern windows to watch.

Okay. Let me preface this by saying that I do NOT like The Jonas Brothers. They are not, and will never be, the new Hanson.
But seriously, I was walking over to B&H Photo the other night and passed by Madison Square Garden. What a crazy scene, man! The Jonas Brothers’ tour bus was parked on a side street and kids were going crazy painting on it. Obviously, this was allowed on each stop of the tour (there was a sign on the windshield that asked for the windshield not to be painted so that the driver could see out of it while driving).
I thought it was kind of a cool way of connecting with their fans.

I shot this in Fort Tryon. It reminded me of a scene from an old Akira Kurosawa film.

I shot this as I walked by Dyckman Playground this weekend. It felt like a perfect end of summer shot.

There’s much joy about recently discovered Dr. Dragan David Dabić. Upon getting his hair cut, not only is it immediately apparent that he’s Serbian war criminal Radovan Karadzic, he’s also the long lost missing brother of Eddie Munster.
