Hey. After 2 months, the south side windows have been finally swapped out, recycling some of the old, panoramic black & white photos used in the past. They must have a great supply of old photos down in the basement. I would love to spend a weekend looking through them.

On May 14, 1959, United States President Dwight D. Eisenhower broke ground for the Lincoln Center. Bergdorf has several windows running along 5th Ave celebrating Lincoln Center’s 50th Anniversary. Very nice. The windows have a very eventful feel.
Along the North side are some nice white on white windows.
The windows along the South side haven’t changed and have been that way since April 17. (See this post.) That’s a long time for a set of Bergdorf windows. I’m guessing that they hold extra special meaning. If someone from Bergdorf is reading this, please comment. I would love to know why.

A kind of a DIYer art project theme going on in the East side windows. And I really like the old Lillian Bassman black & white photos on display in the North side windows.

Part 6 of the London, England series of window displays (shot by Ebru Pinar).
Okay kids. This is the last of the London series shot by Ebru. But no fear. She’s off on her jet setting ways to Spain. She’s promised to shoot windows there and hopefully in a month or so, I’ll begin posting them here.
In the meantime, New York windows will have to suffice. (but then, when you think about it, they are the best anyway). Right?
Cheers.

My good friend and occasional contributor, Ebru “Turkish Delite” Pinar, just returned from London (she’s quite the jet setter) with quite a few photographs of window displays. I’ll be posting those over the next week in sets of 12 or so. My favourite one in this batch is the 3 Ladies Painting.
Cheers.

I was home one day ironing. I took a break to have a piece of cake when it dawned on me that I was late for my eye doctor appointment. I called a cab and grabbed my umbrella because it looked like rain.
How does the story end???
